Located on the upper level of the three story guest house is the Ponderosa King, the largest and most scenic guestroom at Poole's Guesthouse. Enjoy a big six-foot octagonal window that looks out over the central living area with its 23 foot cathedral ceiling and walls that are mostly glass. Your picturesque view is the rugged High Sierra mountains, tall Ponderosa Pines and ski slopes (Headwall, KT-22, Olympic Lady) of Squaw Valley USA.
Decorated with "Country Fresh" decor, the Ponderosa King is a light and airy room with a ceiling that rises to over 11 feet; beams and windows are trimmed in knotty pine. This charming room has a sitting area with a comfortable swivel rocking chair and reading lamp. After a fun filled day in the Tahoe area, you might want to just lay in bed or cozy into the comfy chair to watch a bit of remote controlled Satellite TV. Descend the spiral staircase to the Central Living Rooms with a ceiling that rises about 23 feet and a view that is waiting for you.
